South East Europe Regional Approach to Stockpile Reduction RASR Workshop
RASR Workshop was held from 5th to 7th May 2009 in Zagreb, Croatia with the main purpose to facilitate the regional cooperation in the field of stockpile security and reduction in the region of South East Europe.
The first day was reserved for different presentations about threats and responses of which morning session for the threats of excess stockpiled weapons and unstable munitions and afternoon session for stockpile security, management and reduction. The second day of workshop was reserved for presentations about national action and regional coordination of which morning session for national and international actions and afternoon session for regional coordination and next steps.
Representatives from 8 different South East European Governments, from 3 International Organizations (NATO, OSCE and UN), from 6 Non-Governmental and Private Sector organizations, from United States, German and Hungarian Government participated at the workshop. All together 52 representives participated on RASR Workshop that includes also 3 ITF representatives.
