On August 30, 2012 the second training organized by ITF Enhancing Human Security and HCR-CTRO for Russian experts from the company “ITC – Special works" successfully concluded in Topusko, Croatia. The company “ITC – Special works" is known for carrying out demining operations in Russia as well as in the former republics of the Soviet Union.
The training consisted of theoretical and practical work that was implemented in Terme Topusko and on the training ground “Cerovac” near Karlovac in Croatia. Candidates who participated in the training sessions passed the final exam and consequently obtained a certificate authorizing them to engage in the implementation of demining operations also in the territory of Serbia and Croatia. Their task will be to implement demining operations (ERW clearance) along the South Stream pipeline project that will pass through Bulgaria, Serbia and Croatia.
Closing ceremony was attended by Mr. Dorijan Marši?, ITF Director, Mr. Miljenko Vahtari?, the Acting Director of HCR, Mr. Nikola Pavkovic, Director of HCR – CTDT, and Mr. Jevgenij Palj, the director of “ITC – Special works" who congratulated the experts and handed over the certificates on successful completion of training.
