On 9 May 2011, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jordan Aviation Group, Capt. Mohammad Al-Khashman has been awarded the Order of Merit by President of the Republic of Slovenia, dr. Danilo Türk.
Capt. Al-Khashman is very active in the field of humanitarian assistance and known for his generosity. The reason for receiving Order of Merit from Republic of Slovenia lies in his active involvement in humanitarian project Rehabilitation of Children from Gaza, initiated and led by President of the Republic of Slovenia in cooperation with ITF and URI-So?a.
Until now, Capt. Al-Khashman has organized and provided 5 flight transports (Amman – Ljubljana - Amman) with Jordan Aviation Group, for 52 children-victims of conflict in Gaza, to come to rehabilitation treatment in Slovenia, together with 20 companions and 10 medical workers from Gaza. Capt. Al-Khashman agreed to further support this humanitarian initiative of President of the Republic of Slovenia, by providing flight transports for at least 70 children more, until the end of 2012.
ITF would like to express its sincere gratitude to Capt. Al-Khashman and Jordan Aviation Group for in kind donations to Rehabilitation of Children from Gaza, thus being the biggest private donor to the project.
