OSCE regional workshop »Explosive Hazards Reduction and Response in Central Asia« in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
As part of the efforts to strengthen security cooperation environment in Central Asia, the OSCE regional workshop titled »Explosive Hazards Reduction and Response in Central Asia« in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, is being organized on 22 and 23 November 2011. The workshop is hosted by the Ministry of Defence of Kyrgyzstan and co-organized by the International Trust Fund and the OSCE Centre in Bishkek.
The purpose of the technical workshop is to provide a platform for exchange of information and experience in addressing challenges related to explosive hazards. The workshop aims to bring together 50 participants from the Central Asia and Afghanistan, the relevant international organizations and from other interested OSCE participating States.
The workshop is being organized under the auspices of the ongoing regional Mine Action initiative of the OSCE Office in Tajikistan.
