Opening Ceremony of technical survey activities funded by Ministry of Economy of Canton Sarajevo

On 14 August 2012, Mr. Rusmir Sendi?, Minister of Economy of Canton Sarajevo, Mr. Hamdo Ejubovi?, Mayor of Municipality Hadži?i, representatives of Mine Action Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina, ITF representatives, as well as local media representatives attended the Opening ceremony of technical survey activities funded by Ministry of Economy of Canton Sarajevo, at the location Put Hadži?i Igman. This location is forested part of Hadži?i municipality, in the vicinity of the road that leads to Olympic facilities in Igman and Bjelašnica. This road has very frequent traffic and it is of high importance since it is in everyday use by many tourists and hikers.
In 2011, Ministry of Economy of Canton Sarajevo allocated 413.655,59 USD for technical survey activities that will enable the clearance of 362.540 square meters of land on the four locations in municipalities Hadži?i and Vogoš?a. Additionally, with the ITF matching funds for Ministry of Economy donation provided by US Department of State's Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement additional 5 locations of more than 230.000 sq.meters of land will be cleared in municipalities Ilijaš, Hadži?i and Vogoš?a.
