Armin Kohli Cycle Tour - from Geneva to Zagreb against landmines

Armin Köhli, 40-year old Swiss journalist and cyclist, whose both legs were amputated bellow knee, follows a new cyclist challenge for the landmine action cause - From Geneva to Zagreb, more than 1000 km against landmines.

Armin started his tour in Geneva on 24 November, riding  across Southern Switzerland, Northern Italy and Slovenia in order to arrive in Zagreb on the 30th, where the Sixth Meeting of the States Parties to the Antipersonnel Mine Ban Convention is held (Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on Their Destruction). Armin cycled on his “winter-tour” on average over 150 kilometres each day.

During his journey, Armin stopped in Ljubljana at the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Rehabilitation where the representatives of Institute, ITF and Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed his achievements for sensitizing the population and the media to the struggle against landmines and the importance of offering appropriate assistance to the victims.
