Sisak Rotary Club donated HRK 26,500.00 to the International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance (ITF) for demining activities in Sisak-Moslava county.
Donation will be used for mine clearance project in the area of water supply pipeline route Ma?ari - Letovanci - Staro Selo, which extends on 5.800 m2 in Sisak - Moslava county. The tendering procedure for demining project of water supply pipeline route will be implemented through ITF in cooperation with the Croatian Mine Action Centre and the Rotary Club Sisak.
Since ITF establishment in 1998, the following results were achieved:
- more than 261 million euro raised,
- more than 105.5 million square meters cleaned,
- 911 mine victims rehabilitated in rehabilitation centers in the region of SE Europe,
- over 450.000 youngsters educated about the dangers of mine/SALW in the region of SE Europe.
