On 26 September 2011 ITF signed an Annex to the Contract with Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia for a grant in total amount of 22.858 EUR. The funds are earmarked for the implementation of needs assessment and fact-finding mission in Cape Verde for further implementation of Telemedicine Program.
Goal of the assessment trip is to recognize exact situation of medical/health sector in the whole country, telecommunications and internet/intranet services and accessibility, to identify existing development of telemedicine in Cape Verde and recognize possible obstacles in program implementation. Based on the trip ITF will in cooperation with project implementer International Virtual e-Hospital Foundation (IVeH) develop final project proposal and establish a concrete platform and working document for the implementation of the program in order to create integrated and sustainable telemedicine and e-health program in Cape Verde.
