Opening Ceremony of Czech funded clearance activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Mr. Tomáš Szunyog and H.E. Mr. Petr Voznica, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in the Republic Slovenia attended the ITF opening ceremony of technical survey activities at the locations Mramorja Lice and Mramorje Kr?evina in Municipality Lopare, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Czech Republic allocated € 74,000 for the activities of the technical survey on 53.495 square meters at the above locations. Opening ceremony was also attended by Mr. Rado Savi?, Mayor of the Lopare Municipality, representatives of BH MAC, representatives of local Comunity and local media stations. Company NN Ivša & NGO C.I.D.C. presented manual methods and methods of working with dogs at the locations.
So far, the Government of the Czech Republic through ITF donated over € 970,000.00 for the performance of mine action programs in the region of Southeast Europe and the establishment of mine action structures in Georgia. With these funds minefields in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Kosovo* and Albania has been cleared. In addition, the Government of the Czech Republic has been actively supporting various projects to help mine victims in Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina.
