17 May 2005:Mrs. Heather Mills McCartney and Mr. Paul McCartney representing ideas promoted through the »Adopt-A-Minefield« (AAM) and its campaign, visitied ITF Headquarters. Mrs. Heather Mills McCartney and Mr. Paul McCartney visited ITF Headquarters representing ideas through running projects by the organization »Adopt-A-Minefield« (AAM) since Ms. Mills McCartney has become their Ambassador of Good Will.The purpose of the meeting was exchanging experience and opinion with ITF Director Mr. Dorijan Marši? about the situation in the field of landmine survivor assistance that is not always positively reviewed. Mrs. Calic-Zmiric, MRE&MVA Advisor at CROMAC and Mr. Robert Cugelj, Director of Institute for Rehabilitation of Republic of Slovenia also introduced their views and experiences in the particular sphere.Several initiatives were exposed at the meeting, especially to provide and to attain the exchange of information, promoting new project in the area of rehabilitation, training and education of experts and closer cooperation on the field of the psychosocial and socio-economic rehabilitation of landmine survivors in the region of South Eastern Europe.Traditionally ITF cooperates with AAM by organizing the event, also known as the trade mark of »Night of a Thousand Dinners«, every year. With this visit of Mrs. Heather Mills McCartney both organizations got a very positive contact and a new momentum of common cooperation the future.
