Lions Club Ankaran for Blind and Visually Impaired Mine Victims Through ITF

ITF signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the donation of 6.300 EUR. The donation will be matched with the same amout of the donor funds of the United States and will be used for rehabilitation of blind and visually impaired mine victims in the region of South East Europe. There were 20 members of the Lions Club Ankaran present at the signing ceremony on that occassion. Signing was also attended by Slovenian District Governor, Mrs. Polonca Kukec.
It is the first time that ITF is meeting with the rehabilitation of blind and visually impaired mine victims. At this occasion, the Director of ITF, Dorian Marši? said: "The programs of rehabilitation and mine vistims assistance remain as very important part for the ITF. ITF is even more thrilled that the Lions Club Ankaranrecognizes us as successful and transparent organization in these programs.«
The premise and mission of Lions, which is also the largest humanitarian organization in the world, is established mainly to help blind and visually impaired persons. There is no coincidence that the Lions Club Ankaran earmarked the funds precisely for this purpose through charity event in which took part the choir "Voices from the Heart "from United States.
