ITF Publishes its Annual Report 2019
ITF Annual Report 2019 is available here and we invite you to take a look at the numerous activities we implemented over the last year. In 2019, we raised over 15 million USD in donations and operated in 17 countries and regions addressing the threats to human security.
We cleared over 5 million square meters of mine fields and found and destroyed nearly 6,000 mines and unexploded ordnance. In 2019, over 13,500 people received risk education and close to hundred children received psychosocial or medical support. We supported the demilitarization of 1,716 pieces of obsolete ammunition and over 300 metric tons of stockpiled ammunition. Among the critical capacity building efforts, we also upgraded physical security and stockpile management in several ammunition warehouses.

Our endeavor does not stop here. As the renowned Slovenian humanitarian psychologist Dr. Anica Mikuš Kos writes in her introductory address, “The activities of humanitarian and development cooperation organizations, which include ITF, are often the only external source of protection and assistance to people affected by conflict.” This is becoming increasingly evident in the current global developments. We continue to work tirelessly in helping people and communities around the world, enhancing their overall human security.
These encouraging results would not be possible without our many donors and partners to whom we are sincerely grateful for their invaluable assistance. We firmly believe that with strong support and joint efforts, we can minimize the threats to human security, while providing fundamental human dignity to those who need it most.
