ITF Board of Advisors confirmed the chairmanship of Republic of Austria
The 15th Session of the Board of Advisors (BoA) of the International Trust Fund for Demining and Mine Victims Assistance (ITF) was held on 25 November, 2005 at the Training Center for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief in Ig, Slovenia.
The Meeting was attended by 45 members and observers of the ITF Board of Advisors. Gathered participants were welcomed by Mr. Dorijan Maruši?, State Secretary at the Slovenian Ministry of Health. The agenda included approval of the minutes of the earlier session, ITF intermediate report 2005 and ITF guidelines for 2006. Furthermore Bosnia and Herzegovina Mine Action Center presented Community based integrated mine action plans in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while Slovenian ambassador Boris Frlec, Head of OSCE Task Force and godfather of ITF made a presentation on Tbilisi workshop “Mine action as a confidence building measure”, held in October, and Slovenian initiative in South Caucasus region.
Following the rules of the ITF Board of Advisors the chairmanship of BoA was passed from the Republic of France to the Republic of Austria. Participants were pleased with ITF performance and achieved results. All participants were welcomed to attend next session in spring 2006.
