ITF Annual Report 2021 is Published
In 2021, we raised over 14 million USD in donations, contributed by 11 public donors (including governments, organizations, and local authorities), and 7 private donors (including private companies, organizations, and individuals) and operated in 18 countries and regions. Implemented human security activities included clearance of minefields, destruction of surplus weapons and ammunition, capacity building, physical security and stockpile management, victim assistance, and risk education.
We cleared over 11.6 million square meters of land contaminated with explosive remnants of war and found and destroyed nearly 1,300 mines and unexploded ordnance. In 2021, over 41,600 people received risk education and more than 8,300 people received COVID-19 health education. Over 410 vulnerable individuals and their families received COVID-19 support in terms of food and hygiene care packages. At least 1,400,000 items of dangerous ammunition, totaling 511 metric tons have been destroyed. These are only a few of our most striking achievements in the past year.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who supported us in 2021 and has been part of our mission. The invaluable assistance from our donors, national partners, implementing agencies, and relevant authorities enabled us to work diligently and tirelessly towards helping people and communities around the world. We firmly believe that with firm support and joint efforts, we can significantly contribute towards a world free of threats to peace and security, where safety, well-being, prosperity, and dignity of individuals and communities are assured.
