Inauguration of National Telemedicine Program in Cape Verde

On 28 July 2014, Inauguration ceremony was held on Sal Island, Cape Verde to mark successful completion of the Second Phase of Integrated Telemedicine and e-Health Program in Cape Verde.

With July 2014, the telemedicine and e-health network in Cape Verde connects 10 centers throughout all 9 inhabited islands and is completely operational with medical teleconsultations and virtual education programs being held on daily basis.
The program, which is ongoing since July 2012, is financed by the Republic of Slovenia and implemented through ITF Enhancing Human Security by International Virtual e-Hospital Foundation.
