Czech Republic and ITF Sign a Memorandum of Understanding
Czech Republic and ITF join efforts for mine clearance in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On 12 December 2016, H.E. Ms Věra Zemanová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Slovenia, and Ambassador Damjan Bergant, ITF Director, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and ITF Enhancing Human Security. The cooperation is aimed at clearing mine-contaminated areas in the Municipality of Sekovici and the Municipality of Kalesija in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). It is presumed that in this area the remains of persons missing since the recent war in BiH are located. This will enable the Missing Persons Institute of BiH to continue carrying out its work.
