On the 28 November 2008, H.E. Ms. Ivana Hlavsová, Czech Ambassador to Slovenia and  Mr. Goran Gacnik, ITF Director, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the basis of which the Czech Republic will provide yet once more  a donation to the ITF.  This time, the donation in the amount of CZK 5.000.000,00 (200.000,00 EUR) will be used for the Training Programme of the Mine Action Centre set up in Georgia. Both parties to the agreement will thus actively and promptly contribute to the broader international efforts in alleviating the ravages of conflicts in Georgia occasioned by the use of landmines and unexploded ordnance. 

Within the framework of another MoU signed on the same occasion between the Czech Republic and the ITF,  The Czech Republic will provided a donation in the amount of 50.000,00 EUR to the ITF to support demining activities in Serbia in 2009.
