Continuation of regional rehabilitation training programme initiative

In period from 10 March to 21 March 2008 three Georgian rehabilitation specialists participated at training course at the Institute for Rehabilitation, Republic of Slovenia, in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

In period from 10 March to 21 March 2008 three Georgian rehabilitation specialists participated in training course at the Institute for Rehabilitation, Republic of Slovenia, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The specialists came from the NGO Georgian Foundation for Prosthetic Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (GEFPOR). 

The regional rehabilitation training programme initiative for South Caucasus and Central Asia has already encompassed trainings of Azerbaijani and Tajik rehabilitation specialists and foresees also the participation of Armenian specialists. 

With this programme initiative ITF strives to transfer the know-how and skills in the field of mine victims assistance to mine affected countries in the above-mentioned regions in order for them to be able to cope with mine problem more effectively and on a sustainable basis.
