3rd ITF coordination meeting in Bosnia and Herzegovina
ITF has in cooperation with the Slovenian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized 3rd „ITF Coordination Meeting“, where ITF representatives presented achievements in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2011 and perspectives for the period 2012-2013.

ITF Enhancing Human Security (ITF) has in cooperation with the Slovenian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized third „ITF Coordination Meeting“, where ITF representatives presented achievements in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2011 and perspectives for the period 2012-2013. The meeting was held on 15 May 2012 in the premises of Hotel Europe in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and was attended by representatives of Embassies of the United States, Austria, Norway, Japan, France, Czech Republic, Spain, Kuwait, Croatia, Hungary, Turkey, EUFOR, Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and BH MAC.
The meeting was opened by Mr. Dorijan Marši?, ITF Director, H.E. Mr. Andrej Graselli, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ms. Denisa Sarajli?-Magli?, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Civil Affairs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mr. Dorijan Marši?, ITF Director, and Mr. Gregor San?anin, Head of ITF Implementation Office in Sarajevo presented ITF results achieved in 2011, with special emphasis on achievements in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as strategic goals and plans for period 2012-2013.
Mr. Dorijan Marši? pointed out that in 2011 ITF has implemented over 10 million U.S. dollars of donor funds in Bosnia and Herzegovina and cleared over 4,8 million square meters of mine affected land.
In the field of Victims Assistance the needs of landmine survivors from Bosnia and Herzegovina were addressed through 10 different projects, and the most important prevention component of ITF Mine Action activities - Risk Education/Awareness was in 2011 in BH supported through 2 projects.
In 2011 also Physical Rehabilitation projects provided prosthetic care for 35 landmine victims throughout the entire region of Bosnia and Herzegovina at Miracle Centre - Mostar and at University Rehabilitation Institute, Republic of Slovenia-URI So?a.
ITF, with the support of 28 donor countries, international organizations and private donors achieved the status of the biggest donor Mine Action organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
